Policy Committee

The Policy Committee is the policy making body of PACTS. The Policy Committee has the following functions and powers:

a. to adopt the annual budget and work program;
b. to establish and modify the structure of each of the four PACTS Committees;
c. to appoint, fix the salary of, and remove the Director and other PACTS staff,
d. to create and disband additional committees as deemed necessary;
e. to develop and endorse a transportation plan for the region;
f. to develop, endorse and revise as needed a Transportation Improvement Program;
g. to hire consultants for the purpose of performing transportation planning studies;
h. to appoint two members of the Planning and Technical Committees as Policy Committee appointees; and
i. to perform any other duties required by the Federal and State governments, including certification of the planning process.
