Westbrook Riverwalk North Trail Design

Westbrook riverwalkPurpose: To advance the design for the construction of a 4,000 linear feet of pathway (paved, boardwalk, ramps, stairs) on the north side of the Presumpscot River between Bridge Street and the Black Bridge.

Status: Consultant hired in May 2014. Study completion in 2015.

Budget: $87,000

Scope: This effort will enhance the off-road bicycle and pedestrian connection between Downtown Westbrook and the residential neighborhood on the north side of the Presumpscot River, the Brown Street neighborhood, and to complete a long planned bike-ped loop “around” the Presumpscot River. Design for the construction of 4,000 linear feet of pathway (paved, boardwalk, ramps and stairs) on the north side of the Presumpscot River between Bridge Street and the Black Bridge. This will complete the Riverwalk loop that has been anticipated since the planning for the existing Downtown Riverwalk, in the late 1990s.
