Public Comment Sought on PACTS Transportation Improvement Program for 2019-2022

The PACTS Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for years 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 is now available for public comment.  Please send your comments and questions to Paul Niehoff at pniehoff@gpcog.org or (774-9891, extension 207) by 4:00 p.m. March 28th.  These capital projects included in the TIP, along with transit operating funds, are federally-funded projects that PACTS has already selected. Also included are the MaineDOT-selected bridge, interstate, CMAQ and safety projects. The projects were endorsed by the PACTS Policy Committee on March 5, 2019. The errata document tracks additions and revisions to the TIP document and will be incorporated into the TIP and STIP as final documents.

MaineDOT and PACTS annually submit the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) and the PACTS TIP to the Federal Highway and Transit Administrations.  The FHWA and FTA may not release the federal funds for any of the projects without this support from PACTS.

Public notice of public participation activities and time established for public review of and comments on the TIP satisfies the Program of Projects requirements for the following agencies:

  • Casco Bay Island Transportation District (CBITD); Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority’s (NNEPRA); Shuttlebus-Zoom (BSOOB), Greater Portland Transit District (Metro), South Portland Bus Service (SPBS), Regional Transportation Program (RTP) and York County Community Action Corporation (YCCAC)

Select the link below to view the PACTS TIP, which includes the MaineDOT’s STIP for projects in the PACTS region, the Air Quality Conformity Analysis and the current (3/14/19) errata document.
